World Slasher Cup: Day 5 today
The “2018 World Slasher Cup Invitational 9-Cock Derby”, a certified crowd drawer, enters its fifth day today, Friday, Feb. 2 at the historic and air-conditioned Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Host Jorge “Nene” Araneta and 23 other participants, each with 2 -0 (win-loss) cards, compete in today’s semi-final round sponsored by Excellence Poultry & Livestock Specialists.
The frontrunners include WSC first timers, like Rey Canedo of Davao and Cris Sioson of Bataan who teamed-up with CEO Manny Berbano of Pit Games Media Inc.
Likewise, newcomer Cholo Violago of Bulacan racked up four wins in four fights to outsmart the veterans.
Dr. Bel Almojera (Florida, USA), Mark and Joel Salazar (Malaysia), Mahakam group (Indonesia) and Roger Nook will banner the foreign contingent.
Cockfight idol and Rep. Patrick Antonio, Arnel Cantal, Claude Bautista, Arthuro Suarez, Arman Santos, Emman Pichay,Tiny Meneses. Ruben Tan,Tady Palma, Jojo Gatlabayan, Joseph Canelas, John Gutierrez, Capt. Alven Javier, Rico Abliter, Edwin Olazo and Jess Moradas complete the frontrunners’ cast.
