Last two days for World Slasher Cup 2
Two more days of the crowd-drawing 2018 World Slasher Cup Invitational 9-Cock Derby 2 sizzle at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum as the fights resume today, Friday, May 11.
The 4-cock finals today, backed by Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialists and Pit Game Media Inc. of CEO Manny Berbano, will showcase entries from participants with 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 points.
Among the early favorites: Rene Medina of California, Celso Salazar/Dems Villaverde, Doc Ayong Lorenzo, Biboy Enriquez, Rikki Reyes, Bal Samson, Rey Briones, Patrick Puno, Felix and RC Gatchalian, Jojo Gatlabayan, Boy de Roca and Joey Melendres of Australia and Jake Zobel.
The final round continues tomorrow, Saturday, May 12, for participants with 4, 4.5, and 5 points.
“It’s still anybody’s race for the championship considering the tight contest for the last four days,” said the WSC Debhy Office head Dong Lamoste.
Three entries remained unbeaten with 5-0 (win-loss) each, two of them owned by defending champion Frank Berin, and another by cockfight idol Patrick Antonio.
Dr. Bel Almojera of Florida, USA will join the grand finalists with 4.5 points, together with Hermie Capuchino, Gov. Kulit Alcala, and Jun Lao/CGV, all with the same score.
